How Bad Can It Get........

How bad is inflation in Zimbabwe? Well, consider this: at a supermarket near the center of this tatterdemalion capital, toilet paper costs $417.

No, not per roll. Four hundred seventeen Zimbabwean dollars is the value of a single two-ply sheet. A roll costs $145750 — in American currency, about 69 cents.

The price of toilet paper, like everything else here, soars almost daily, spawning jokes about an impending better use for Zimbabwe's $500 bill, now the smallest in circulation.

But what is happening is no laughing matter. For untold numbers of Zimbabweans, toilet paper — and bread, margarine, meat, even the once ubiquitous morning cup of tea — have become unimaginable luxuries. All are casualties of the hyperinflation that is roaring toward 1,000 percent a year, a rate usually seen only in war zones.

He's BACK!!

David Song in the Tiger Stadium dorms....

It sure has been a while, I thought that I would let the Miami victory settle in for a while, then I realized I better start blogging before LSU looses there first game of the new season.
I now have a Shutterbook account, you can view it @ tyzimbo.shutterbook.com
We have been down to LSU at night and also downtown BR, I must say there is something really relaxing about roaming around with your camera snapping at anything that looks interesting. 100 pics later and only about 20 that are really worth loading on the site, I can still say that it is really rewarding once you go back and look at the pictures, try it sometime. Hope you enjoy and don't forget to check out David Song and Roberts pics.

Day of Adventure!!

Today after church I decided to skip the usual knapp, grab my camera and head down River Rd and see what I could find. Well, the drive down River Rd lead quickly to down town BR as I could find nothing to shoot, I take that back I could have shot the lush banks of the Levi, or a couple cows and then of course the muddy banks of the Mississippi. Downtown was fun, a little overcast so nothing really stood out, I was looking for something where I could get really cool shadows, reflection or great contrast. As the sky turned darker and the light started to disappear I managed to snap one pic, yes one pic, a whole afternoon and all I got was one pic. I have decided to do this again, maybe I am just out of practice, but I am determined to get better. On the whole it was a fun afternoon, IPod blaring in the Red Rocket, looking for adventure through the lens of my camera. I will be sure to let you know how the next trip goes, I hope better than this one.
So sit back and stare in wonder at the only accomplishment of my Sunday afternoon.

"Yet Another Hurricane to Hit Louisiana"

Well, well, I never thought I would get to see the day, it seems to good to be true. The news is LSU will face the Hurricanes in the Peach Bowl, this should create some talk around the office. I just have one concern for the game, if it infact does take place - I HOPE LSU SHOWS UP!!
This is going to be a great month......

Who Shall It Be!!!

Seems like the only way that LSU can get past this weekend is if we do more of what you see below, or once again we might as well just put the defence on the field. It is going to be a great game, and yes I think we can do it.

The Grill

20oz New York Strip on the new Grill, yes I am proud, and I might add they were great. It is amazing what a little Italian Dressing can do. Tonight I actually used a Cagun Injector (inject the marinae straight into the meat), found it at a Bass Pro Shop, I know, I know the African is slowly turning into a Redneck.
If I come up with any new recipe's I will be sure to post them.

Bama Offense Gaining Yards!!!

BAMA Quarterback adding yards to his stats on his way back to the locker room. Sad thing is, he probably has gained more yards getting up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, than he has all season on the field.
LSU 16 BAMA 13. Just two more wins and we are off to the SEC Title Game.
The U, V Tech or the Irish would be great in a Bowl, but first lets beat The Dogs.

What a Game!!!

It's a long ride back to Auburn with no hotels to stay at in the BR, well at least you got the Postgame wrap-up show on Eagle 98.1 to keep you company. Final score LSU 20 AUBURN 17. This was the closest game I have ever been in at Tiger Stadium, the stadium was electric from start to finish, and with the missed field goal at the end (one of five), I thought it was time for another earthquake game experience.

What will they do without the Pontiac

Got to Geaux with the Tigers, no more turnovers please, and I think we got them. Oh and if we run number 10 up the middle too many times I am going to scream.

It's all Over

Well week two of the CD Recording is over, now it is time to get in the edit suite and produce the first HPC Music DVD. We are all really looking forward to this. The concerts went great, just take a look at the lights in the picture below, we really stepped it up. It has been awesome to see the church pull together, keeping in mind that this is a first for most of us. I feel blessed to be apart of this experience, and we can only go up from hear. Six years ago this was just a dream, sitting on by bicycle training like a mad man I would have never seen myself here, it just shows that Gods Plan for us is so much more than we can imagine, I cannot wait for round two. The Wonder of the World, a title we have all heard for a month now, but looking back and everytime I reflect on the last month you can see the hand of the Wonder of the World all over this project, in amongst all the ups and downs with Him we all came out on top, thanks guys for a great experience.

Amazing Night

Week one of the Cd Recording is now in the past but there is one more week to go. We had an amazing night, from the worship to behind the scenes. I know that the final product (CD/DVD) is going to be a sound that reaches the world.

New Orleans Fly-over

A few days after Hurricane Katrina we got to go up in a helicopter and loop around New Orleans. It was hard to believe that there was so much of the city under water, and the smell even from a couple hundred feet up was really bad. It is definitely going to be a changed city.

CD Recording

The CD Recording is one day away now, I have been waiting for this all year. There is so much going on at the church, new lights, stage and camera set-up. This picture was taken during one of the rehearsals. We rented a really nice lens for the camera I have in the picture, I guess one should expect great quality when it retails for $14 000-$18 000, thats three times the price of my car, ha ha...........
